1. AI Ethics and Algorithmic Transparency (AutoCut)

AutoCut is not available yet. Once it is, it will follow these commitments:

We do not train models on your private data: Private videos uploaded to our Platform are not used to train or fine-tune third-party Large Language Models (LLMs) or foundation video/image generators.
Ephemeral Processing: Our algorithms process your media transiently solely to generate your clips and captions, without applying any ideological or editorial bias in clip selection.

2. Law Enforcement Requests

PearlPost requires a valid, binding legal order (e.g., subpoena, warrant) before disclosing user data or connection logs to law enforcement agencies. We strive to notify users of any legal requests for their data, unless prohibited by a court-issued gag order or in emergency situations involving an immediate threat to life.

3. Repeat Infringer Policy (Safe Harbor)

We operate under "Safe Harbor" principles (e.g., DMCA). User accounts that receive three (3) valid and uncontested copyright infringement strikes/takedown notices will be permanently terminated.

4. Trends Curation

Public sources, manual collection: the PearlPost team selects the topics in the Trends section by hand, frequently (usually daily), from publicly available information on Google Trends, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, and Pinterest. We do not use automated scraping.
No paid placements: curation is independent. No topic is sponsored, and no brand pays to appear or to change its position.
Exclusion criteria: we do not feature topics centered on people without public notoriety, unconfirmed accusations, hate speech, sexual or violent content, or content involving minors.
How estimates are calculated: likes, views, and comments are the sum of those metrics across posts related to each topic, as observed by our team. They are a baseline for comparison, not official platform figures.
Correction and removal: anyone can request the correction or removal of a topic by writing to legal@pearlpost.io.
